English Content
Échec à la guerre’s website is very predominantly in French, not bilingual. The reason for this is simple: there already exists a wealth of Internet resources in English concerning the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the “war on terror” and related topics; but there is a real scarcity of comparative material in French. So we have taken it upon ourselves to create a reliable and regularly updated website, where information and analysis about these crucial issues will be made available to francophones in Quebec and elsewhere.
This being said, you should still browse through the various sections of our website, since we do make the effort to provide, when possible, English translations of Échec à la guerre’s press releases and coming events, as well as the English original articles that are offered in French translation.
See below for the English content of this web site, as well as for translated texts from English to French.

Video in English (17-06-2021)
On June 17, 2021, Martine Éloy spoke on behalf of the Collectif Échec à la guerre at the event “International Solidarity Now: A gathering for a more just Canadian foreign policy” organized by Canadian Foreign Policy International. The date marks the anniversary of Canada’s defeat in its bid for a seat on the UN Security Council. Over the past year there has been growth in critical foreign policy discussion & activism. But, much more is required to win fundamental change. “International Solidarity Now!” is a gathering of antiwar, mining justice & international solidarity organizations that aims to connect, strengthen and amplify our collective efforts.
The extract is an excellent presentation of the Collectif Échec à la guerre. To watch the extract: https://youtu.be/w6MAalgAM00 (2,5 minutes)
